Yes, each van is equipped with a seatbelt extension. If you have additional riders and need more than one seatbelt extension, please notify the dispatcher when you schedule a ride, so we can ensure the van is equipped with enough extensions to meet your needs, including your escort.

Sometimes. This depends on the estimated length of the appointment and the location of the appointment. You can request a driver to wait when booking the ride, but this will depend on availability and additional charges may apply depending on the circumstances and length of time waiting.

Yes, clients are permitted to have one additional family member or escort travel along to the appointment. You must notify dispatch at the time of booking to ensure a van with enough seats to accommodate is available.

Cost for private pay is as follows:

  • Ambulatory Transportation: $25.00 for pick up one way + $2.49 per mile.
  • Wheelchair Transportation: $30.00 for pick up one way + $2.49 per mile.
  • Includes one (1) escort/family member; additional passengers $10.00 one way.
  • Included first-hour wait time; extra time is at $11.00 per additional half hour.

No, our staff does not physically transfer clients from wheelchairs to the seat in the van. A client who can safely transfer themselves to a seat in the van can sit in a seat if they choose, the wheelchair will then be secured and taken with the client to the appointment.

Yes, we can transport clients in power wheelchairs and scooters in most cases: 

  • The power wheelchair must have a safe place available for the driver to attach the securement straps.
  • Clients using scooters must be able to independently transfer to a seat in the van.
  • The scooter would then be safely secured and taken along with the client to the appointment.
